It’s an excellent adaptation
We start with stunning photography, good scripting and creative direction with an approach that respects the original work. They also diligently adapt events from the book and use resources such as concept art to complement the narrative.
At the same time, from an ethnic and cultural point of view, it respects what Colombia is, as a nation and a society
Traditions, music, food and the diversity of races are part of the Macondo universe, as well as the history that makes up the years of Colombia’s violent past. Thus, his chronology, which is perfectly interwoven, recedes, which results in a slightly different product in terms of content, but not a negative connotation for the development of the story.
